Mimolette-- A place I told myself I need to 'take a look' at. After an event on Wednesday, I decided to stick to the original plan and have only one look but not a second glance (unless the bill is settled by someone else).
The name, so quaint, reminds me of frou frous, aromatic teas, blooming flowers and all things pretty. But the temptation reached a dead end when I bought myself a second drink. Forgiving them for charging us $14 for two non-fully-filled glasses of Whisky Coke, we gave them a chance to redeem themselves by ordering another 2 glasses of Lychee Martini. A whopping $48.
I promise myself this will be the second and last time I allow myself to pay for alcoholic syrup water at ridiculous price. (The first time was when I forced myself to hand over $70 for a glass of Bellini in Bangkok). Shit. I could have had a sumptous buffet or fancy surprising myself with a Gucci wallet at 75% discount.
And no wonder it's located near the Saddler's club, 'cause you need to ride a horse for 20 minutes before you reach your destination, starting from Eng Neo Avenue. God, I didn't know Singapore is this huge.
